Rudgear Area

Nearly 30 acres of open space surrounds Rudgear Estates, a community of 429 homes built by Whitecliff Homes in 1973. Known for wide streets and sidewalks with easy access to hiking trails, Rudgear Park and a community pool with a popular swim team, this neighborhood is nestled at the top of Rudgear Road. Many homes back to the rolling hills of the open space. Served by an active homeowner’s association, residents are always in the know about what’s happening in their community.

Another neighborhood in the Rudgear area is Rudgear Meadows, surrounded by the Shell Ridge Open Space, with access from neighborhood streets. Built in the late 1970’s, most residences are larger detached homes situated in streets and cul-de-sacs. Rudgear Meadows also boasts a swim team and community pool, and a homeowner’s association.

Due to proximity to neighboring Alamo, Rudgear residents are served by the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, the Acalanes Unified School District and the Walnut Creek School District, depending upon the street address.
